Mercedes Benz A45 AMG 4MATIC Automatic 2016

The Mercedes Benz AMG A45 is one of the faster tools available to the hatchback market, and when Mercedes announced a power boost for the A45 AMG from 355BHP to 381BHP, just weeks after Audi had introduced their 367BHP RS3, the whole A-Class family had been rejuvenated.

Using the same 2.0-litre turbocharged engine as the previous model and its 190BHP per litre, the A45’s power increase came as a result of a newly-configured valve assembly, adjustments to timing and turbocharging. It wasn’t a mere turn-the-wick-up turbo boost, maximum boost pressure still stood at 1.8bar, Mercedes claimed. Furthermore, sports and supercars alike should pay attention to the A45, because this four-wheel drive hatchback is staggeringly fast in a straight line; performance figures released by Mercedes claimed that the new 0-62mph sprint time was 4.2seconds, 0.4 seconds quicker than the previous model. Yet, what’s more impressive is that extra brawn and power seemingly didn’t damage the economy, with Mercedes-Benz citing their consumption at being around 40mpg, still. Combine this level of performance with Mercedes’ accredited desirability, quality and day-to-day practicalities, the package is undoubtably appealing.

Our facelifted Mercedes Benz A45 AMG 4MATIC Automatic overwhelms the market with its optional features; with its notable fitted Night Package befitting the vehicle with 19 Inch AMG cross-spoke light-alloy wheels in high sheen finish, lower front bumper and rear pumper in high gloss black, rear privacy glass and other qualities within this package offering a crisp dynamic contrast from the metallic Mountain grey body finish. What’s more, the most immediate notable addition to the vehicle is the Aerodynamic Package which evidentially boasts the AMG rear aerofoil and the additional black flics on the front apron. To match the level of performance from the engine, AMG performance seats are fitted for the driver and passenger to add further to the element of this race-car-like model. This vehicle is fitted with a panoramic sliding sunroof so at the flick of a switch and you’ll be able to engulf yourself to the reverberating rumble coming from the 2.0L engine under the bonnet. Other prestige’s offered in this vehicle are the Harman Kardon Logic7 Surround Sound System, LED high performance headlamps, Apple CarPlay, reversing camera, AMG body styling and a genuine plethora of other options. With only 31,800 miles to count, this hatchback is primed for its next owner waiting to unleash it on the roads.
